Cedars Manor is a popular and thriving primary school in the middle of Harrow Weald.  Our diverse community, brand new building and enthusiastic learners make this a very attractive place to work.

Ofsted recently (October 2019) commented “Pupils enjoy coming to school. Staff welcome them with warmth and kindness. Leaders and teachers strive to provide the very best possible education for all pupils.”

We are currently looking for a Deputy Headteacher to join our team.  The role will include leading on teaching, learning and assessment across the school.  There is opportunity to develop the curriculum even further and to lead on developing the large site that we now have as part of our new build.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an outstanding practitioner
  • Has successful experience in leading whole school initiatives
  • Is ambitious for the school and its pupils
  • Has strong people and communication skills
  • Is imaginative, innovative and inspiring
  • Has a strong commitment to their own personal professional development

In return we offer a modern working environment, committed and knowledgeable governors, strong community links, strong sense of team work and a school that is popular locally.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. All applicants will be required to produce two suitable referees as part of the application.

For an informal and confidential discussion about the role please contact Mike Reynolds on 07798 630422. Further information and an application pack can also be found on the Vacancies section of the school’s website.

I have worked with Adam Stanley and Conexus for the past three years. As a result of this association I have undertaken several successful interim senior leadership roles in schools in a variety of circumstances. I have always received excellent support, which has included the provision of opportunities, advice on legal cover and insurances, regular contact to ensure that ‘all is going well’, and a willing ear, when necessary. I am very happy to be associated with Conexus and would recommend them highly, to both those seeking employment and to potential employers alike.
